LUNENBURG -- Eleanor (Christie) Dustin, 88, of 25 Pearl St., died Wednesday, Aug. 16, in the Birchwood Care Center, Fitchburg, after a long illness.
She leaves her husband of 63 years, Carl F. Dustin Sr.; a son, Carl F. Dustin Jr.; a daughter, Nancy A. Merchant of Fitchburg; four grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Townsend, daughter of George and Katherine (Greene) Christie, and lived in Lunenburg for many years.
Mrs. Dustin worked for many years for Stewart-Duvarney Jewelry Store and retired in 1977. Before that, she worked at Scott's Jewelry Store and Brockelman Brothers Market, all on Main Street in Fitchburg. Mrs. Dustin was a member of St. Bernard's Church in Fitchburg.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21, in North Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, at Aubuchon-Moorcroft Funeral Home, 132 Woodland St., Fitchburg.
