Longtime Claremont resident, Marion E. Crosby, died on Dec. 10, 2015 at the Claremont Manor, where she lived. She was 93 years old.

She was born on April 2, (Easter Sunday) 1922, and grew up with her 2 brothers, Harold and Richard in Pomona, CA. In 1943 she married Leo Crosby. After the war they built a house in Claremont where they lived for the next 65 yrs. until they moved to the Claremont Manor. Leo preceded her in death in 2012.

Marion loved dancing. She and Leo belonged to several dance clubs and became prominent dance instructors for round dance clubs for many years.

She is survived by her 3 children, Connie, Bob, and John; 5 grandchildren, David, Monica, Christopher, Caitlyn, and Natalie; 2 great grandchildren, Brandyn and Aiden. She is also survived by her brother Harold. Her brother, Richard, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015 at Todd Memorial Chapel in Claremont followed by burial at Oak Park Cemetery in Claremont. Viewing is Friday from 5-8 pm at Todd Memorial Chapel.
