Curtis, Alvey rites slated Thurs., 2 p.m.

Greenwood - Funeral services for Mrs. Ona Belle Curtis, 67 and her sister, Mrs. Audry Gertrude Alvey, 58, who were killed in a car-truck collision late Monday morning at Smith Valley Road and Madison Ave., will be Thursday, 2 p.m. at the J.C. Wilson Madison Avenue Funeral Home.

The Rev. Nonnie Hancock and the Rev. James Lee will officiate and burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Curtis was born January 30, 1899 at Clay county Kentucky and Mrs. Alvey was born February 2, 1908, at Tennessee. There were the daughters of William Clinton and Marietta Stockton Eads.

Mrs. Curtis was married in 1912 to Benton Curtis who survives at Greenwood, route 3, with three daughters, Mrs. Fred Mabry of Trafalgar, Mrs. J.B. Denham, Brownsburg, and Mrs. Wanda Hyatt of Greenwood route 3.

Mrs. Alvey was married in June 1944 to Leland Alvey, who survives at Greenwood route 3.

Also surviving both sisters are a sister, Miss Bertha Eads of Greenwood; a brother, Alvey Eads of Marion, Ill., and brother, Herman Eads of Greenwood.
