Feb. 23, 1919 Olathe Montrose County Colorado, USA
The Western Slope Criterion (Olathe Colo.) Thur Feb 27 1919: The messenger of death visited the home of Alpheus Anderson twice within two days and served his summons upon Mrs Anderson and daughter Eula. Mrs Anderson died Thursday night at the Anderson home. (Feb 20, 1919). Her death was due to tuberculosis which she suffered from for a long time. The family lived in Missouri until two weeks ago when they moved to Olathe for the mothers health. Mrs Anderson was 38 years of age. It seems ahrd that one so useful and so much needed in the home should thus be called away in the high noon of life. Eula Anderson died Sunday moring at St Lukes Hospital from Spanish influenza. SHe was 16 years of age. Her presence will be missed in school as elsewhere where she was known. Besides the husband and father they are survived by a son, brother to Eula. They were both buried in the Olathe cemetery.
