Mary "Louise" Eads Courtney, age 91, of Cynthiana, Kentucky, died Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Cedar Ridge Health Campus, in Cynthiana. Born in Harrison County, Kentucky, on December 28, 1922, to the late James Parker and Leona McKinley Eads, she was a former employee for Cudahy Dairy and clerk for Pressman's Department Store. She was a member of Unity Christian Church.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Herbert Courtney; a daughter, Carolyn Rose Rodgers; a brother, Harold Eads; two sisters, Geneva White and Ruby McNeese; and two grandchildren, Christopher Michael Jones and Caroline Grace Jones. She is survived by: a daughter, Linda L. (Charles) Jones, of Harrison County; three grandchildren, Faron Collins, Clinton Jones and Jennifer Gaunce; and six great-grandchildren, Kaylee Collins, Zach Collins, Justin Gaunce, Wyatt Gaunce, Madison Jones and Colton Jones.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Battle Grove Cemetery Meditation Building by Bro. Jeromy Northcutt. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Ware Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to: Salvation Army, Service Unit, P.O. Box 295, Cynthiana, Kentucky 41031; or Hospice of the Bluegrass, 1317 US Highway 62 East, Cynthiana, Kentucky 41031. Pallbearers will be Clinton Jones, Faron Collins, Zach Collins, Rufus Nickerson, Mike McNees and Burl White. The family would like to send a special thank you to the staffs of Cedar Ridge Health Campus and Dr. A.C. Wright and Dr. Stephen Moses.
