REIDSVILLE — Margaret Amelia Earle Arthur, 81, of 1839 Pennrose Dr., died Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at Annie Penn Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, July 5, at First Baptist Church and burial will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery.

A native of Anderson, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Julius Wilton and Margaret Amelia Lucas Earle and had lived in Reidsville since 1953. She was retired from the Reidsville City Schools, where she worked as a librarian at Williamsburg School for many years. Margaret was an active and faithful member of the First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years, served as church librarian, and she recorded the church services for many years. She was a member of the Flora Garden Club and the Lady's Bridge Club.

Surviving is her husband of 55 years, Grier L. "Joey" Arthur of the home; son, Steve Arthur and wife, Jeanette of Reidsville; daughter, Peggy A. Warf and husband, Roger of Reidsville; brother, Julius Wilton Earle Jr. of Charlotte; sister, Lillian Rachel Yeargin of Gastonia; grandchildren, Allen Warf and wife, Kim of Wilmington, Amy Warf of Reidsville, Nicole Jones and husband, Ben of Raleigh, Brittany Arthur of Reidsville.

The family will see friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church and at other times, they will be at the residence.
