She was born July 20, 1923, in McKeesport, a daughter of Michael and Margaret Race Edison.
A homemaker, Mrs. Burns was a member of First United Presbyterian Church of Houston.
On February 18, 1950, she married Albert J. Burns, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Karen Pacilla of Arizona and Beda Iskey of Houston; a son, Michael J. (Judy) Burns of Johnstown; a sister, Mary Jane Stoll of California; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are three brothers, Bill Edison, Tom Edison and Ray Foley.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 30, with the Rev. Clarejean Haury officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
