She was born in Buffalo Hart Township on July 4, 1902, the daughter of G. C. and Edith Bellinger Edwards. Following her mother's death when she was 9 months old, she spent the early years of her life with an aunt Mrs. L. W. Knapp, of Portland, Ore.
She later returned to Buffalo and received her high school education in the Buffalo schools, after which she went to San Francisco and became a registered nurse.
In addition to her aunt, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. John Dennis, and two grandchildren of Oakland; two sisters, Mrs. G. P. Lester, of Buffalo, and Mrs. Frank Stout, of Chatham; and a brother, C. Byron Edwards, of Jamul, Calif.
