Millicent Edwards Davies, 91, of Springfield died Tuesday, July 16, 2002, at Villa Health Care East in Sherman.
She was born May 30 1911 in Twin Falls, Idaho, the daughter of Carl P. and Rloxella J. Shaffer Wertzbar. She married William Davies in 1984 in Springfield; he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Davies worked for 26 years at Springfield Stockyards and retired from Illinois Manufacturing Housing Authority. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She had attended Buffalo United Methodist Church and was a past president of the Buffalo PTA.
Survivors: a sone, Ivan "Seth" (wife, Peggy) Falconer of Ontario, Calif.; two daughters, Rosella J. (husband Wayne) Earles of Dawson and Velma B. (husband Gene) Howell of Springfield; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Fullenwider-Park Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg, Dr. Roger Romancer officiating. Burial: Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
