She was the "little sister" of Frank, Elizabeth, George, Art, and Bill, all of whom married and lived in the Los Angeles area.
Barbara was diagnosed with leukemia in approximately 1942 at age 13 according to her Death Certificate which I recently viewed (Jan 2014) in Los Angeles.
Barbara married John F. De Lap on March 28, 1949 in Los Angeles County. She and her husband had a baby boy, Arthur, sometime later that year at the Los Angeles County General Hospital. However, it appears the baby was stillborn based on family input and the fact a Death Certificate is not on file with the County.
Barbara died of her leukemia at the Los Angeles County General Hospital at age 20. She is buried in a Catholic Cemetery, probably at the request of her mother who was raised Catholic.
