Mrs. Dewey (Lillie Faye) Bales, 62, of Warrensburg, died at 5 p.m. Sunday in Decatur and Macon County Hospital.

Mrs. Bales was born on Aug. 15, 1903, in Moultrie County, the daughter of Frank and Lizzie Reed Edwards. She had lived in Warrensburg for the past 40 years.

She was a member of the Boiling Springs Church of God and a Sunday School teacher for the church. She was also a member of the WCSC of the church.

She married Dewey Jesse Bales in Windsor, IL, in 1922.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Judith) Long, of Warrensburg; a step-daughter, Mrs. Charles (Anna Marie) Frank, of Decatur; four sisters, Mrs. Ed (Maude) Herron, of Shelbyville, Mrs. Harlan (Lucille) Yonker, of Sycamore, Mrs. Earl (Fern) Richard, of Blue Island, and Mrs. Harry (Flora) McQueen, of Warrensburg; two brothers, Horace Edwards, of Windsor and Mark Edwards, of Decatur; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Two sisters and a brother preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Boiling Springs Church of God. Burial will be in Illini Cemetery, Warrensburg. Friends may call at the Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Tuesday and from noon till service time, Wednesday at the church.
