Evelyn R. Beesley
MONTICELLO - Evelyn R. Beesley, 86, 618 S. Maple St., Monticello, died Sunday at 2:20 p.m. at the White County Memorial Hospital, Monticello.
Born in Chicago, Ill., April 5, 1895, she was the daughter of Samuel and Marie Ducat Eletson. On Aug. 23, 1916, she was married to Arthur D. Beesley, who survives.
A resident of Monticello for the past 17 years after moving from Knox, she was a member of Our Lady Of The Lakes Catholic Church, Monticello.
Surviving with the husband are one daughter, Mary C. St. Clair, Malibu, Calif.: one son, Arthur C.. Cleveland Heights, Ohio: one brother, Charles Eielson, Duluth, Minn.; two sisters, Margaret Chasen, Chicago; and Mae Joss, Santa Barbara, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday at 8 a.m. at Our Lady Of The Lakes Catholic Church, with the Rev. Robert Fosselman officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Society. There will be no visitation. The Miller-Voorhis Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
