Virginia Ellett Bickmore, age 80, passed away om Monday, April 6, 2009 at the Legacy House of Bountiful, Utah from the effects of Alzheimer's Disease.

Virginia was born February 3, 1929 in Mapleton, Utah, the youngest daughter of Arthur Odell and Mattie Ellett.

Married to K. Lowell Bickmore on February 13, 1948 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.

She was an active member of The LDS Church. She held many teaching positions, particularly of young people. Virginia attended East High School, University of Utah, Snow College and received her bachelors degree from BYU Hawaii. She taught English and Creative Writing at Kalaheo High School in Hawaii until her early retirement due to health issues.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years and children, Diane Brown (Kailua, Hawaii); Janet (George) Wells (Okinawa); Nancy (Giovanni) Candido (Naples, Italy); William (Karla) Bickmore (Vancouver, Washington); Robert (Millie) Bickmore (The Woodlands, Texas); 16 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Preceded in death by siblings Darwin, Lorena, Lucille, Katherine, Robert, Evelyn, Arthur Odell Jr., and two grandchildren, Robert Lowell Brown and John Wells.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 10, 2009 at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, where a visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday morning from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
Interment will be held at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
