James Barkett Elliott a native of Baltimore, Worcester, Maryland, moved to San Diego, California in the 1920's. He was a professional lead singer; tenor, and sung in Military Quartets in Vaudeville. "The Harmony Hounds", was one quartet, among several other bands during the 1920's-1960's. He was a provost marshal, Chief in the US Navy, and was in WWI and WWII. He was a member of VFW Post 9512.
"It's a big chorus up there; perhaps Jim can sing a tag or two with O.C. Cash and Rupe Hall. Sing it pretty, Jim; sing it pretty."
James is a direct descendant of several notable Founding Maryland Colonists , The Calverts, Stansbury's, Brents to mention a few.
