Jewell O. Ellison, 51, of route 5, State Park road, died at 10 a.m. at the Veterams Hospital in Columbia.
He was a son of the late Clarence B. and Ruby Carter/Ellison, born in Greenville County, where he was a life long resident. He lived on State Park Road for 22 years. he was employed as a machinist by Larry Dunham Auto Parts and Supply company. During World War II, he served with the Army. He attended Wren Memorial Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, mrs. Frances R. Ellison; a daughter, mrs. David I. (Gail) Mason of Greenville; two sons, Robert J. & Wane B. Ellison of Greenville; and a brother, Roy A. Ellison of Greenville.
