Edna Reaves Ellison, 70, of 233 Belton Drive, Williamston, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2000, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Honea Path, she was a daughter of the late J. Pearly and Sallie Mae Gossett Reaves.
She was a graduate of Anderson College, an employee of Anderson County School District One, and co-owner and operator of Ellison Home & Auto Store. She was a Girl Scout Leader, and contributed to various charities. She was a heart transplant recipient and a member of the Heart-to-Heart Association. She was also a member of Whitefield Baptist Church.
She was dear to her family and shared her time lovingly with her Surviving son and daughter in law, John Reaves and Elaine Ellison of Williamston; a daughter, Sandy Lynn Ellison of Greenville; a sister and brother in law, Bobbie and Holmes Nelson of Greenville; a granddaughter, Amanda Ellison of Williamston; granddaughter and spouse, Amy Ellison Chandler and Chris Chandler of Belton; and a great grandson, Mickey Reaves Chandler of Belton.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2000 from Whitefield Baptist Church with Rev. Clarence Howard and Rev. Rick Ables officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
The body is at Cox Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Monday, February 7, 2000.
The body will be placed in the church at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000. The family is at the home of the son, John R. Ellison, 302 Sandy Lane, Williamston. COX FUNERAL HOME, Belton is in charge of arrangements.
