BURTNER, Bonita Engle age 100, passed Wednesday June 27, 2012 at Otterbein Home in Lebanon. Born 12-19-1911 in Berne, IN. She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 yrs, Dr. E.E. Burtner and brother, Robert Engle. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law of Dayton, a sister of Pickerington Oh; two grandchildren; a sister-in-law of Minneapolis; a great-granddaughter of Wichita, Ks; and numerous nieces. Bonita graduated from Otterbein College in 1935. She was an accomplished pianist teaching for many years. A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, July 5, 2012. 11:00 am at Fairview United Methodist church, 828 W. Fairview dr., followed by a time of gathering and visiting in the church parish hall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice. Burial at a later date will be at Otterbein Cemetery in Westerville, Oh. Arrangements in care of Newcomer Funeral Home - North.
