OBITUARY:

Avon,N.Y.,Avon Herald,Saturday,January 26,1901

Miss Ann Ensworth met with a accidental death at her home on River street, Thursday afternoon of last week, while on her way down stairs to the cellar with a lighted candle in her hand. It is thought that she fell and her clothing took fire, as her lifeless body was found at the foot of the stairs.
The deceased was born in Avon in 1815, and has been a life long resident of Avon. She was the daughter of Dr. Ensworth who lived and practiced in Avon at that time.
She was educated and was graduated from Canandaigua Seminary, and was a member of the Episcopal church chair for many years, and was a constant attendant at church until ago and infirmities interfered, She was of bountiful character, and beloved by all who know her.
Mrs. John Nobles a sister, and Mrs. Geo. Millman of Avon, John Noble of Bridgeport, Conn., and Wm. Noble of Clean, nieces and nephews, remain to mourn her sad death.
Funeral was held Saturday last from the house, and remains were interred in the Avon cemetery.
