A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2002 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Entombment will be at Macon Memorial Park. Father Brett Brannen will officiate.
Mrs. Barrett, born in Atlanta and raised in Macon, was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hearst Ethridge and the late Mrs. Mildred Harbin Pierce. She was a graduate of Miller High School and received her degree in nursing from the Macon Hospital School of Nursing. She was employed first by University Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin, then by Georgia Baptist Hospital, and was retired from the Urological Professional Association of Macon. She was a founding member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, a member and past president of Holy Spirit C.C.W., and treasurer of the Macon Deanery.
Survivors include her husband, Daniel E. Barrett of Macon; her children, Dana Barrett Stanley of Perry, Terry Barrett and Tim Barrett, both of Macon; her sister, Donna Thornton of Houston, Texas; her brother, Stanford Ethridge of Macon; her grandchildren, Kathryn Anne Stanley, Barrett Stanley, Betsy Barrett, and Marshall Barrett; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home or may be contacted at their residence. Snow's Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street, has charge of arrangements.
