OBITUARY -

Funeral Services Held For Nancy Atkeson, 80 -

Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy Enders Atkeson, 80 years of age, who died Saturday midnight, March 16 at her home, 1701 West 4th Street in Joplin, following an illness of six years, were conducted at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning in the Thornhill-Dillon Chapel of Memories in Joplin.

The Rev. George Hanley of Joplin, pastor of the Carl Junction Assembly of God Church officiated.

Burial was in Carl Junction Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Elmer Ray, Wayne Ray, Ronald Davis, Mars Marison, Roy Atkeson and Lawrence Tatum (Tatman).

Mrs. Atkeson was born Oct. 1, 1887 in McDonald County, Mo., and had resided in the Joplin and Carl Junction areas most of her life.

She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Carl Junction.

She was the grandmother of Mrs. Neta Link of Carl Junction and lived in the property now owned by Mr. and Mrs. Link on South Joplin Ave., for several years.

She had visited here often since moving to Joplin, until her health would not permit it.

Surviving are a son, Charles Enders, of El Dorado, Kan.; five daughters, Mrs. Ellen Williams of Baxter Springs, Kan., Miss Ida Mae Enders of the home, Mrs. Elsie Robinson of 1711 West 4th, Joplin, Mrs. Violet Watts of Leon, Kan., and Mrs. Dean Ray of Wichita, Kan.; a brother, P. W. Ethridge of Centralia, Wn. [sic]; 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
