Ida's husband, James, died in September 1941. After that, she went to live with her daughter, Gladys in Harwood, Vernon Co., where she died in June 1948.

Funeral Services Held For Mrs. Ida J. Baker
Funeral services for Ida Josephine Baker were held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Pleasant Grove church.
Rev. O. E. Martin of El Dorado Springs had charge of the services. Mr. and Mrs. Will Read, Raleigh Reed and Mrs. John Breckenridge, accompanied by Mrs. Floyd Bowman, sang "Going Down The Valley," "Beyond The Sunset," and "It Is Well With My Soul."
The pallbearers were Will Reed, Raleigh Reed, Buck Hutchison, Howard Luther, Floyd and Fred Hutton.
Mrs. Baker died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ross Strader, near Harwood. She had (been) ill for some time.
The body laid in state at the Waggoner Funeral Home until time of services. Interment was in the Pleasant Grove cemetery.
