JAMES ETHRIDGE James Alvin Ethridge, 65, former resident of Nation Road, died Jan. 17, 1994 at Self Memorial ' Hospital. Bom in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late James Alvin and Hammie Gentry Ethridge. He was retired from Ihe U.S. Army after 23 years having served during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He was of the Baptist Faith. Surviving are two sons, Victor Ethridge of Midland Park, N.J. and John R. Ethridge of Abbeville; two brothers, Bobby Ethridge of Abbeville and William Ethridge of Omaha, Nebraska; three sisters, Frances Clemmons and Carolyn Duskin, both of Abbeville and Shirley Bullington of Albany, Ga.; one grandson. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday from the Blyth Funeral Home with the Rev. J.B. Redd officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. The body is at (lie funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. The family is at their respective homes. Blyth Funeral Home in charge.
