Rhetta Evangeline Davenport Ethridge, 59, of 136 Wisewood Circle, wife of Larry Ethridge, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of Onita "Nell" Weathers and the late James W. Davenport. She was a housewife and a member of Harris Baptist Church where she was a member of the Esterian Sunday School Class and Choir.

Survivors include her husband of the home; mother of Greenwood; a son, Eric Ethridge of Greenwood; two daughters, Stacy Ethridge of Sumter and Lisa E. Brown of Greenwood; a sister, Pam Latham of Greenwood and a brother, Ted Davenport of Spartanburg.

Services are 3 p.m. Tuesday at Harris Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Frank Thomas. The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Burial is in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Bill McCollum, Bobby Woods, Larry Mobley, Ray Hembre, Billy Sartin and Bobby Motte. Honorary escorts are members of the Esterian Sunday School Class of Harris Baptist Church.

The family is at the home of her mother, 301 Oakwood Drive.
