Barney Roberson Ethridge, 81, died Thursday, May 15, 2003, at Prince George Healthcare Center in Georgetown.

Mr. Ethridge was born in the Big Dam Community of Georgetown Co. near Andrews on January 1, 1922, a son of the late Robert John Ethridge and Sarah Ann Taylor Ethridge. He lived all his life in the Andrews area and served in the Army during World War II. Mr. Ethridge was a retired farmer and member of the Family Worship Center.

Surviving are: a daughter, Nell E. Watson of Andrews; a granddaughter, Meri N. West of Andrews; a brother, J. Muldrow Ethridge of Andrews; and a sister, Thelma E. Ray of Andrews.

Mr. Ethridge was predeceased by: his wife, Blanche Feagin Ethridge; a son, Robert Edward Ethridge; and a grandson, C. Michael West.

Funeral services will be Saturday afternoon, May 17, 2003, at two o clock in the Family Worship Center. Officiating will be The Rev. Murray W. Powell.

Burial will follow in Piney Forest Cemetery.
