Bobby Joe Ethridge, 73, the beloved husband of Brenda Cooper Ethridge, went home to be with the Lord on Monday evening, March 26, 2012, at Tidelands Community Hospice House surrounded by his loved ones.

Mr. Ethridge was born the son of Liston Harvey Ethridge and Lorena Long Ethridge on June 21, 1938, in Andrews.

He was a retired carpenter whose craftsmanship can been seen throughout the local counties.

Bobby and Brenda were married January 30, 1976, and celebrated 36 years together.

From their blessed union were born: two children, Betty Jo Ethridge and Amy M. (Mikey) Jones; and seven grandchildren, Taylor, Austin, Shane, Waylon, Katey, Ethan, and Jamie.

He leaves behind: three brothers, Harvey (Eloise) Ethridge, Vernon Ethridge, and David "Bubba" (Linda) Ethridge; one sister, Nellie E. Powell; and a large number of nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Funeral Service will be 4 PM, Thursday, March 29, 2012 at the Earle United Methodist Church. Interment with Military Honors will follow in the Andrews Memoiral Cemetery directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
