Billy "Goat" Ethridge, 68, died Sunday, April 15, 2012, at his residence.

Mr. Ethridge was born in Andrews on July 20, 1943, a son of the late William Woodrow Ethridge and Stella Casselman Ethridge.

He lived all his in the Big Dam Swamp community of Georgetown Co. and was a graduate of Andrews High School. Mr. Ethridge retired in 2000 as maintenance supervisor at Atochem. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved gardening. Mr. Ethridge was a member of John's Lake Hunting Club.

Surviving are: his wife, Harriett Casselman Ethridge of Andrews; three daughters, Pamela Ray (Bubba), Angela Cox (Ben), and Jennifer Cox (Jason), all of Andrews; three sisters, Carolyn Eaddy (Jim) and Judy Feagin, both of Georgetown, and Kay Wheeler (Bruce) of Andrews; nine grandchildren, Christopher Ray (Becky), Heather and Cody Ray, Chase and Zach Marshall, and Abigail, Annabele, Jordyn and Jenna Cox, all of Andrews; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Ethridge was predeceased by a sister, Debra Jane Ethridge, and a grandchild, Daniel Jacobs.

Funeral services will be at two o'clock on Tuesday afternoon, April 17, 2012, at the Family Worship Center. Officiating will be the Rev. Murray Powell, the Rev. Becky Tilton, and the Rev. J. W. Casselman. Burial will follow at Ivey Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday evening, April 16, 2012, at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home from six until eight o'clock.
