Patricia Mary Anderson of Zumbrota passed away on Wednesday April 27th, 2016. She died peacefully at home with her family at her side.

Pat was born on July 14th, 1938 in Zumbrota, Minnesota to Lawrence and Ina Evert. She attended Zumbrota High School and graduated in 1956. After graduation, Pat worked for many years as a secretary at the Mayo Clinic in the departments of Neurosurgery and Orthopedics. In 1971, Pat married Ted Anderson from Blyth, England who was on assignment for IBM in Rochester. They moved the family to England where they lived for several years before returning to Saugerties, NY and then Zumbrota where they made their home since 1976.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband Ted, her father and mother, Lawrence and Ina Evert, and her brother Jeff Evert. She is survived by her brothers Larry (Sheri), Mike (Sharon), Mark (Dawn) and Bill (Dave) Evert, her sister-in-law Barb Evert, her children Todd (Tracy) Langevin of Edina and Suzanne Langevin of Oronoco, Heather (Simon) Cowell, Brenda Dymond and Mark (Kim) Anderson - all of England. Pat has nine grandchildren Kelly and Daniel Langevin, Robert, Adam and Hannah Cowell, Michael and Claire Dymond, and Craig and Elliot Anderson.

Pat was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend whose compassion knew no bounds. She believed in performing acts of charity, caring for those less fortunate and in her quiet way ‘giving until it hurts’. Pat was an active member of the Church of Saint Paul in Zumbrota. She was a long-distance foster mother to children in need from impoverished countries. She, with her lovely voice, and Ted, who was an accomplished piano player, enjoyed volunteering their time at local nursing homes to provide entertainment for the residents.

Pat was an excellent cook. She enjoyed country living, feeding wild birds, reading and traveling. She and Ted made annual visits to England, a country she loved very much, to visit family and friends.

Arrangements provided by Mahn Family Funeral Services, Larson Chapter 507-732-5444. Visitation will be held at the Larson Chapter in Zumbrota on Wednesday, May 4th from 5 to 7pm. A funeral service will be held at 11 am, May 5th at the Church of St. Paul in Zumbrota.
