Tana Taylor Akers, 56, of Richmond, Mo., and formerly of Osage Beach, Mo., and Kansas City, Mo., died Friday, May 4, 2007, at Shirley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond. Tana was born Nov. 15, 1950, in Richmond to Monroe J. 'Monte' and Huetta W. Taylor Evert. She was formerly married to Robert W. Akers, Sr., of Salem, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents. Tana was a top real estate agent for Four Seasons Realty in Osage Beach who annually won awards for her efforts. She had formerly co-owned and operated Akers Interiors in Richmond for 25 yeas. She was a 1968 graduate of Richmond High School and attended Texas Christian Women's College in Denton, Texas. She was a member of the Richmond United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions may be made to the Richmond High School athletic department. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, May 7, at Woodland Cemetery in Richmond, with the Rev. Don Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be Bruce Thurman, Scott Farmer, Jeff Southwick, Mike Shane, Ryan Shane, Farrell Farmer, Galvin Humphries and Gary Lampton.
