Virginia Fain Bass
DOERUN - Virginia Fain Bass, 90, of 133 S. Peachtree St. in Doerun, died Friday, Nov. 11, 2005, at Brownwood Nursing Home in Moultrie.
No formal service will be held.
Mrs. Bass was born Oct. 31, 1915, in Colquitt County to the late Ethel Mae Overby Fain and the late Edgar Mack Fain. She retired as a registered nurse at Santa Barbara General Hospital in Santa Barbara, Calif. She served in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Bass.
Survivors include one son, Jerry Handfield and wife Johnsie of Doerun; a brother, Freddie Fain of Atlanta; and several grandchildren.
Cobb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
