Mrs. Mary Carolyn Fain Barrett, a resident of Dothan, passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 15, 2009, at her home. She was 81.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2009, in the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Sego, pastor of Selma Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ward Wilson Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be directed to the building fund of Selma Baptist Church, 3255 S. Park Ave., Dothan, AL 36301.
Mrs. Barrett was born and grew to adulthood in Geneva County. She was preceded in death by her mother, Clara Fain; her father, Frank Fain; four sisters and five brothers.
Survivors include husband, Harold Barrett of Dothan; two sons, Ronald Barrett and his wife, Beth of Plano, Texas, Stephen Barrett and his wife, Jo of Dothan; brother, Herbert Fain and his wife, Nita; grandchildren, Edward Barrett and his wife, Sheri, Kim Chandler and her husband, Joe, Melinda Rainer and her husband, David, Ashley Robbins and her husband, Chris; great-grandchildren, Lane, Lauren, Jack Barrett and Luke Rainer; many neices and nephews.
