Lewis Fairchild
Lewis Fairchild died at his home in the central part of the town of Exeter, November 4th, after an illness of three weeks with heart trouble, aged eighty years. Mr. Fairchild was a veteran of the Civil War. He is survived by a wife and four children; Mrs Eunice Hazard of Sidney, Mrs Dorr Gales of Pulaski, Charles of lyle, and Don, living in Hudson. Mr. Fairchild was a noble old man and held in high esteem in the town in which he had made his home for many years.
The funeral was held on Saturday, conducted by Rev. E.L. Jeffry and attendet by a large gathering of friends. There were present from out of town: Mr. and Mrs. D.H. Gates and daughter of Pulaski; Mrs Eunice Hazard, her daughter and husband of Sidney; Charles Fairchild and wife of Lyle and Mr. and Mrs Don Fairchild of New York. The interment was at Exeter.
