Gladys M. Faye Bennett, age 83, lifelong resident of Hancock County, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2009, in Gulfport.

Mrs. Bennett was born to the late Ed Faye and Rose Carraway Faye in 1925. She was a homemaker and loved life. She never met a stranger, and she would take her garden's harvest to neighbors and friends. Fishing was a favorite past time.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Nolan Ladner, Sr., and her last husband, X.L. Bennett; her parents; son, Richard J. Ladner; brothers, Thomas Faye, Newt Faye, and Edward Faye.

She is survived by her children, Terry J. Ladner and his wife Elaine of McHenry, Nolan J. Ladner, Jr. and his wife Missy, of Kiln, Dinette M. Ladner of Kiln, and Danny Ray McRight of Orange Beach, AL; sister, Gaynell Ladner of Pass Christian; brothers, Alton Faye of Pass Christian, and Charles (Lindsey) Faye of Pass Christian; 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 16 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2009, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln DeLisle Road, where friends may call from 6-10 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the graveside on Friday, April 3, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Rotten Bayou Cemetery.
