Aledo, Ill. — Allen A. Feehan, 82, of Green City, Mo. died Thursday evening, June 21, 2012 at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Mo.

Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2012 at Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Green City with his nephew, Dennis Feehan officiating. Interment services were held at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Peniel Cemetery at Joy, with his nephew, John H. Feehan officiating and Military Rites by Mercer County VFW Post. Casket bearers were Michael John Peterson, James Allen Day, Todd Allen Feehan, Stephen Feehan, John M. Feehan, and Clarence Baker. Honorary bearers were Walter Hannah, Garry Billington, Louis Islas and Michael Housh.

Allen was born June 21, 1930 in Trenton, Iowa, the son of James and Ellaroe (Smith) Feehan. On Feb. 19, 1983 in Burlington, Iowa he married Jan Peterson and she survives. Also surviving are, many nieces and nephews, and three sisters-in-law, Mildred (Feehan) Chandler of Monmouth, Mary Kirk of Mesa, Ariz. and Willie Kirk of Alliance, Ohio.

Allen and Jan have lived in the Green Castle and Green City area the past nine years coming from Oquawka, where they lived many years. Allen was a millwright at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant in Middletown for 30 years. He had also worked for John Deere in Milan for several years. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the U. S. Army in Korea. He was a member of the Lutheran Church in Burlington, Iowa. Allen loved woodworking and could make about anything out of wood. Allen was a loving and caring person to family and friends alike and was the beloved owner of two dogs, Skeezix and Muffin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Stan Feehan, Harry Feehan, who was killed in World War II, Billy Feehan, Rodney Feehan and John Monroe Feehan; three sisters, Kathryn Housh, Ellen Myer and Alice Feehan; and two-step brothers, Louis and Gary Kirk.
