HANNIBAL - Thelma Mary Fessenden Bibb, 97, of Hannibal, died at 6:46 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006, at Beth Haven Nursing Home in Hannibal.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. The Rev. Tim Goodman will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Oct. 6, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bibb was born April 27, 1909, in Hannibal to Orie O. and Bertha Rather Fessenden.
She was married to Norman Gordon Bibb on May 27, 1934, in Hannibal. He preceded her in death April 5, 1991.
Survivors include one daughter, Norma Jean McLeod (Jerry) of St. Louis; six grandchildren, Brian McLeod Sr. (Jill), Kathy Alexander (John), Laura Zafiropoulos, Derrick W. Bibb, Patrick W. Bibb (Brandy) and Norman W. Bibb; 14 great-grandchildren; and a special friend of 88 years, Edna Marks Utterback of Hannibal.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Gary Bibb; one brother, Orie Fessenden; one sister, Genevieve Wenger; and an infant sister, Dorothy Fessenden.
Mrs. Bibb was a telephone operator, retiring from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She was a member of Clover Road Christian Church. She was active in her church and a member of Loyal Gleaners Class at Clover Road Christian Church. Mrs. Bibb loved to garden.
Memorial contributions may be made to Clover Road Christian Church andor Shiloh Christian Children's Ranch, in care of the James O'Donnell Funeral Home Inc.
Pallbearers will be Derrick W. Bibb, Patrick W. Bibb, Norman W. Bibb, Brian McLeod Sr., John Alexander and Jerry McLeod.
