Mrs. Artherton Rites Saturday

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Gertrude Artherton were held Saturday afternoon in the Graves Baird Chapel with Rev. Roy Moyer of the Peru Christian church officiating. Interment was in the cemetery at Peru. Mrs. Artherton died Thursday morning at the Webber nursing home in Coffeyville where she had been a patient for about six months.

A daughter of Richard and Olivia Reeder Fielding, she was born Sept. 14 1886, in Chautauqua county and had been a resident of Peru since 1904. She and Charles Artherton were married on Nov. 20, 1903, and he preceded her in death on April 3, of this year. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Oliva Morgan of Mulvane; three sons, Roy of Arkansas City, Tom of Wichita and Leon of Scottsburg, Ind.; three sisters, Mrs. Ora Maxey of Collinsville, Okla., Mrs. Bertha Watson of Penrose, Colo.; and Mrs. Ida Barnhart of Caney; and three brothers, Jim Fielding of Niotaze, Tom fielding of Pueblo, Colo. and Irving Fielding of Moline; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
