TRURO - Mrs. Florence Viola Archibald, 87, of Truro, died Wednesday in Colchester Hospital. Born in Truro, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rebecca (Burris) Fielding. She was a member of the ladies auxiliary, Royal Canadian Legion, a life member of True Blue Lodge, a life member of United Baptist Missionary Society and a member of First Baptist Church, Truro. Surviving are three daughters, Ardythe Parfinuk, The Pas, Man.; Marjorie (Mrs. Victor Olacke), Sarnia, Ont.; Barbara (Mrs. Donald Weaver), Truro; a son, Ross, Bedford; a sister, Mrs. Ella Corbett, Bedford; three brothers, Eugene and Roy both of Bible Hill; Murray, Truro; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest L., a son and a daughter. The body is at Kennedy Memorial Residence, Truro, where funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m., Rev. Frank Locke officiating. Burial will be in Watson cemetery. The ladies auxiliary, Royal Canadian Legion will hold a tribute service at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations my be made to First Baptist Church memorial fund.
