Isabelle was the daughter of Albert Edward Fielding and Rovilla Abigail Haddix. She married Roland Herbert Anderson on 24 Mar 1934 in Broken Bow, Custer County, Nebraska.

The following is the obituary of Isabelle Anderson:
Isabelle Fern Anderson, 88, of Caldwell, passed away Thursday, November 7, 1996, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 11, 1996, at the First Christian Church, Caldwell. Pastor Glen Basey will conduct the service. Interment will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Isabelle was born November 2, 1908, in Mason City, Nebraska to Ed and Rovilla Fielding. She was raised on a farm near Mason City, Nebraska and attended country schools. She spent 1st grade at Graystone School then completed 2nd through 8th grades at Lone Elm School. Isabelle boarded in town through high school and graduated from Mason City High School in 1926. She attended Kearney State Teachers College in Kearney, Nebraska for one year and later completed her BA in Education from the College of Idaho in 1962.
Education was very important to Isabelle. She had a teaching career that spanned 22 years. She taught in Canyon School District 139 for 19 years without missing a day. She taught 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades at Maple Grove School for 12 years, and the second grade for four years at Greenleaf.
Isabelle married Rollie H. Anderson March 24, 1934, at Broken Bow, Nebraska. They moved to Idaho in 1954; Isabelle joined the First Christian Church in Caldwell at that time and was a dedicated member serving in many capacities. She taught Sunday school for many years and volunteered for any task no matter how difficult.
She spent her retirement years sewing for Nampa State School and volunteering countless hours of service to the church and the community.
She was loved by her students, children, and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Daryl and Faye of Kalispell, Montana; daughter and son-in-law, Bethine and Frank Griggs of Boulder, Colorado; daughter, Carol Anderson of Bozeman, Montana; daughter-in-law Virginia Anderson; sisters, Edna Chamberlain of Lincoln, Nebraska; Mickey Ibach of Riverton, Wyoming; Pauline Carpenter of Mesa, Arizona; Eloise Cordell of Alliance, Nebraska; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, two step-great-great-grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years in 1990, a son, Donny, in 1988,; a daughter-in-law, Marjorie, in 1955.
The family suggests memorials be made to West Valley Hospice; the First Christian Church; to Boise Bible College; to Puget Sound Christian College; or to the Christian Children's Ranch. Friends may call at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, Sunday, November 10, 1996, from 2 to 6 p.m.
