Daughter of Alexander I. Finlay and sister of Gertrude Finlay. Married Edward F. Behnke at her home, 106 Bellaire Place, Syracuse, 31 August 1929. She worked for the Crouse-Hinds Company for at least ten years (1926-1936 or longer). She and Ed had one child, Carl.

Ruth M. Behnke

Ruth M. Behnke, 95, formerly of Grover Street, East Syracuse, died Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center.

She was born in Syracuse. She worked several years at Eggleston's Bakery. She was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church.

Her husband, Edward F., died in 1980.

Survivors: A son, Carl E. of Englewood, Fla.; a grandchild; three great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren.

Services: 3 p.m. Wednesday at Welter-Price Funeral Home. Burial, Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners. Calling hours, 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 2649 James St., Syracuse.

Contributions: Eastwood Baptist Church.
