LaVonne Bear, 85, Ft. Collins, Co, formerly of Jamestown, ND died Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Spring Creek Healthcare Center in Ft. Collins.
LaVonne Finnegan was born May 20, 1928 in Montpelier, ND, the daughter of Bernard and Florence (Hendrickson) Finnegan. She married David Bear on June 13, 1945 in Jamestown.
LaVonne enjoyed sewing, crocheting, traveling, playing cards and tending to her flower garden. She was a member of Victory Lutheran Brethren Church, Jamestown and Winfield Homemakers.
LaVonne is survived by two children, Nancy (Stephen) Leeson, Jamestown and Leland (Judith) Bear, Loveland, CO; six grandchildren, Wendy (Richard) Lewis, LeeAnn (Alan) Geithman, Tricia (Richard) Bear-Bates, Leland (Mirya) Bear, Jr., David (Rebecca) Bear, Tanya Kostal; 14 great-grandchildren, Monica (Andy) Graham, Tiffany (Ryan) Shaw, Joey Lewis, Damien Geithman, Rhett and Rhyse Bates, Dallas, Ethan and Jaxon Bear, Dominque and Anthony Bear, Russell, Joshua and Nancy Kostal; two great-great grandchildren, Keira and Ryan Graham; two sisters, Shirley Robson, Arizona and Connie Osborn, Nebraska; three sisters-in-law, Judy Bear, Kay Bear and Shirley Linsteadt; one brother-in-law, Edwin Schmuhl and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David, seven brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law.
