Born in North Sydney, Belinda was a daughter of Mary (Gallivan) Johnston of North Sydney and the late Gordon Johnston.
Binny was and will always be everyone's favourite person, she always had a smile for everyone, she put everyone else first. She loved animals, especially Daisy and Nico. Belinda was always a favourite to play within the poker league.
Besides her mother, Belinda is survived by her spouse, Geronimo (Jay) Paul; her sons, Eddy (Trina) and Nick, at home; her brothers, Gordon (Glenda) Johnston and Glenn (Theresa) Johnston, both of North Sydney; a niece, Lisa; nephews, Cory, Scott, Colton and Zachary; an uncle, Edward Gallivan, two aunts, Ellen Parides, Colleen Winn, all of Ontario.
Belinda was predeceased by her father, Gordon Johnston, paternal grandparents, Alex and Florence Johnston, maternal grandmother, Sadie Gallivan.
Belinda's beloved dog Cookie awaits her.
Belinda was an organ donor.
Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Saturday in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday at St. Matthew Wesley United Church with Rev. David Luker officiating. Burial to follow at Lakeside Cemetery, North Sydney.
