Barbara Jean Collins, 61, of Shelbyville died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009, at her home.
Born Sept. 21, 1947, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Wanita (Nickloff) Fonseca. She married Henry Collins on Oct. 29, 1994, and he survives.
Other survivors include her son, Rich (wife, Sheila) Clark of Shelbyville; daughters, Kim (husband, Robert) Logsdon and Lisa Evans, both of Shelbyville; brothers, Rick (wife, Colleen) Fonseca and Bobby Price, both of Indianapolis; sisters, Nickie (husband, Jim) Hackney of Alabama, Peggy Fonseca, Marylou (husband, Conrad) Perez and Edith (husband, Danny) Hyde, all of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Raymond Evans, Whitney Evans, Cody Clark, Brooke Clark, Josie Logsdon and Breydon Logsdon; and stepfather, Henry Fonseca of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her mother; and Mary Arnold, who raised her and whom she called grandmother.
Mrs. Collins was a lifelong Shelbyville resident.
She had been a factory worker at KCL Corp. for 10 years, retiring in 2001. She also had been employed at Electrosound for more than 10 years and at Williams Industries for more than 10 years.
Mrs. Collins loved her pets, listening to music and spending time with her grandchildren, including attending her granddaughters' dance recitals and her grandsons' ballgames.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. Robb Barlow officiating.
Burial will be in Fairland Cemetery in Fairland.
