"Mrs. Florence Elizabeth Bailey, age 60, died November 12 at her home in Morris. She was born April 12, 1896 in (the) Town of Morris, daughter of Stephen and Clara (Van Dusen) Foote. Her marriage to Melvern Bailey took place November 14, 1916. Mrs. Bailey was a member of the Morris Universalist Church and attended Morris High School. Her funeral was held at Sloan's Funeral Home, Thursday, November 15 at 2 p. m. The Rev. John Price, pastor of Oneonta Universalist church officiated. Burial was in Hillington Cemetery. Survivors are her father, Stephen Foote; three brothers, Lynn, Stanley and Louis Foote, all of Morris; two sisters, Mrs. Vernon Holliday and Mrs. George Holden of Gilbertsville; several nieces and nephews."
