Obituary as published Grand Rapids (Mich) Press Friday June 27, 1975 page 11C: (Sparta) Mrs. Nellie Ford Burgett, aged 62 of 29 Maple St. passed away Thursday evening at her home following a lingering illness. She is survived by her husband Roy and family, Glenn and Patricia of Grand Rapids, David and Loralynne Clark of Alto, five grandchildren, Ronell, Pamela, Kylelyn Burgett, Dalin and Sally Clark, her mother Mrs Lora Anne Ford and one sister Mrs Jeanne Easton both of Arizona. Funeral service will be held Sunday 3 pm at the Sparta United Methodist Church with Rev. Eldon Eldred officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may meet the family at the Hessel-Cheslek Funeral Hone, Friday 7 to 9 and Saturday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Mellie Burgett Memorial Fund for the Sparta Ministerial Association. Envelopes available at the funeral home.
