Lorene F. Boutin, 54, of Gladwin, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 1997 at MidMichigan Medical Center- Midland after a short illness. Bom Feb. 24, 1943 in Marion, Tenn., she lived in Gladwin since 1992, and previously lived in New Boston. The former Lorene F. Ford married Michael L. Boutin Sr., Nov. 15, 1960 in Detroit. She was a homemaker in her own home and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gladwin.
Besides her husband she is survived by one son, Michael Jr. of Gladwin; one daughter, Sherry and husband Steven Nichol of Beaverton; her father and stepmother, Ira and Dorothy Ford of Wyandotte; one brother, Richard Ford of Wyandotte; three sisters, Lee Rainey of Southgate, Pat McGinnis of Erie, and Sandy Hale of Warren Dale; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Fannie Ford.
Services were held at noon Monday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gladwin with Rev. Father Julius Spleet officiating. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Gladwin. A special wake service was held at 4 p.m. Sunday. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Cancer Society.
