EFFINGHAM — Nancee (Forde) Cowger, 43, of Effingham, formerly of Olney, died Saturday, June 25, 2011.

Nancee was born June 3, 1968, in Effingham, the daughter of David and Anita (Stiffler) Cowger.

She was a homemaker, she loved karaoke, had a passion for singing and children's ministry. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

She is survived by her mother, Anita Louise Cowger; daughters, Ashley Grimes (husband, Micah) of Olney, Heather Aldridge of Effingham, Courtney Aldridge of Olney, DeAnna Aldridge of Olney and Lacee Scott of St. Elmo; two sisters, Caryn Cross (husband, Christopher) of Effingham and Cecelia Kessler of Martinsville; one brother, Michael Cowger of Effingham; five grandchildren; and former husbands, Trent Aldridge, Junior Baskam, Vern Aldridge, Dennis Scott and Michael Forde.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Earl Cowger; and former husband, David Von Almen.

Funeral services were at Nazarene Church, Olney, with the Rev. Chris Breeden officiating.

Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, Olney.

Memorials may be made to Stasi-Grove Funeral Home or to Ashley Grimes, 320 W. Pine, Olney, IL 62450 for the minor children.

43-year-old Nancee Lee Forde of Effingham and a passenger, 38-year-old Troy D. Waldhoff of Effingham, were killed in a two-vehicle accident on Illinois Route 33 about two miles west of Shumway in Effingham County late Saturday morning.

State police said Forde was soutbound on a county road and failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection with route 33 and was hit by a pickup truck, driven by 20-year-old Nathan Voehm of Cowden.
