FORTUNE - Myrtle Elizabeth, 81, of Toronto, ON and formerly of Oxford and Scotsburn, died Thursday, November 23, 2000, in Torotnto. Born in New Annan, NS, she was the daughter of the late Wilson Durning and Mary Belle (Teed) Reid. She is survived by daughters, Ann Horvath, Emily Fortune, Evelyn Fortune, Fern MacGregor, all of Ontario; sons, Hugh, Scotsburn, Allan, Ontario, Charles, Scotch Hill; 17 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Phyllis Partridge, Antigonish, Ethel Giffon, ON; brothers, Wilson, Ontario, Aerial, Scotsburn, Ronald, Pictou. She was predeceased by her husband John Austin Fortune; sons, Eugene, Albert Martin, Wilson; brother, Sterling; sister, Dawn D'Entramont. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Monday in McLaren funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m Tuesday from Bethel Presbyterian Church, Scotsburn, with Rev. Kate Ballagh Steeper officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, Scotsburn. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Nova Scotia.
