Death notice in the Montreal Gazette, April 18, 1961:
ALLEN. The death occurred on Friday, April 7th, 1961, of Mrs. Charles Holden Allen, at her home in Chester, N.S. The former Miss Alice Fortune of Winnipeg and Montreal, was a survivor of the Titanic. Her husband died six years ago. She is survived by a daughter, Marjorie (Mrs. L. H. Norris), of Chester, and two grandchildren, Robert Rutherford, a third year cadet at Royal Military College, Kingston, Ont., and Heather, at home. Interment in Bay View Cemetery.
