Amy Fossey was born November 11, 1904 to Robert C. and Annie Nelson Rustad in Mitchell County. She was baptized and confirmed in the Mona Lutheran Church. She attended Mona grade school and Otranto high school. She married Mense Fossey Oct. 30., 1926. They lived and farmed all their married life in Otranto Township. They retired in 1963 and moved to Lyle until November 1986, when they entered the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center. Mense died May 1, 1987.
Amy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Mense, one brother, Carroll Rustad, 2 sisters, Alice Gaarder and Ruth Cederstrom. She is survived by two sons, Allen of Preston, MN and Leo and Joan of St. Ansgar; two daughters, Margaret and Loren Meyer, St. Ansgar, and Norma and Emery Price, Lyle; 19 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren; one sister, Annie Rustad, St. Ansgar.
Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mona.
