Lakewood Citizen, Friday August 30,1935:

"Funeral service for Mrs Carrie Fowler Brower, who died last Friday at her home, 316 Ocean Avenue, following a prolonged illness, were held Monday at 2:30 at the Westhall Funeral Home. The Rev J W Griffith, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal Church, of which she was a member, officiated. Burial was made in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs Brower was born in Lakewood, where she had been a lifelong resident. She was the daughter of the late Frederick and Susan Everingham Fowler. Her husband died a year ago.
Surviving are three sons, Ernest F, Lakewood; Frederick C, New York City, and Floyd B, Rockville, L I., two grandchildren and four brothers. They are Albert and Benjamin Fowler, Lakewood; Jesse Brower, Asbury Park, and George Brower, Suffern, NY.
Mrs Brower was a member of Camp 35, Patriotic Order Sons and Daughters of America".
