Donna Darlene Britton, 72, passed away on Dec. 28 2011 at her home in Covelo. She was a native of Round Valley Indian Yuki Tribe, born May 5, 1939, lived in Covelo, and resided in the valley her whole life. Donna was an active member of the Round Valley Indian Reservation serving many positions including Housing Board member, Health Center Board member, Career Development Program member, Teachers Aid for the Round Valley School District, and taught through the Culture Project to share the Yuki language. She was an active associate of the Pentecostal Lighthouse Church and held a membership with the Full Gospel Organization. Donna enjoyed playing softball and later shared her love of sports through watching her children, grandchildren and many family members play. She played the piano and loved singing hymns for the family and church. Donna is survived by her husband Harold Britton Sr, daughter Linda Britton Davis; two sons Harold Jr and Mark Britton. She had many special people in her life which includes her grandchildren, siblings, many nieces and nephews and several cousins. Donna was precded in death by her parents, William and Laura Frank, sisters Jeanie Wise and Dolores Bettega, and grandson Marshall Britton.
